The Universe IS Talking to Me

I saw this picture postcard while shopping with a dear friend yesterday. Something about the way the sun shone through the window, the shifting colors of the soda in the glass, the poised hand, the shadows, the quality of the light -- they caught at my heart, reminding me of my most recent trip to New Orleans, and my upcoming trip that will return me to the Crescent City.

Only when I got it home and showed my sister did she point out the title of the photo, written in small letters on the reverse side: "En Route to New Orleans, c. 1971-74".
