Everything's Different
So... took a little much needed R&R and am noticing that stuff ALWAYS happens when you're gone. Some of it planned, some of it given up as a lost cause, some of it purely miraculous.
Like...
The cruddy tile in my bathroom has been replaced by a much nicer plastic tub surround. No more duct tape in the shower!!!

The contest in which we thought we hadn't even placed, and come to find out, we're in the top 3 finalists. We'll know who won sometime next month.
Like...
My uncle, who the doctors said would never walk again, can now move his feet, ankles and knees. Holy frijoles, Batman!
It's a crazy ol' world.
And it's nice to be back.
