It's Only Been A Year

There are more than 2000 US soldiers and countless Iraquis -- at least a count our news media seems uninterested in -- dead in a war that's not a war.

It's only been a year since Election 2004.

"Scooter" Libby, now former Chief of Staff for Vice President Cheney, is under indictment for obstruction of justice and perjury, and it's an open secret that puppet master Karl Rove is the source of the leak that outed covert CIA officer Valerie Plame in retaliation for her husband's report that Iraq did NOT, in fact, buy uranium from Niger. But Rove's still on the loose, and the administration acts like anyone who questions Libby's innocence must be mental.

And it's only been a year since Election 2004.

We've had two natural disasters in our country alone in the past two months, and the current administration cannot seem to handle the problems created at the time or in the aftermath.

Just one little ol' year.

Since September 30, 2005, the National Debt has continued to increase an average of $3.48 BILLION per day.

And we have three more years of this.

Pray for us... and then get up off your asses and do something. Write your congressperson. Protest the war. Help a Katrina victim. And for everyone's sake, vote on Tuesday. Maybe it doesn't matter very much, but we gotta start somewhere.

Remember your Bible: "Be ye either hot or cold, or I shall vomit thee from my mouth." And I ain't talking cold cappucinos, Kirk Cameron.
