A good friend of mine turns 33 today -- the Messianic year. Happy Birthday to the girl who made me a "Straight" T-shirt, who suffered through creepy teachers (you know who I'm talking about), Summerstock, drunken weekends, late night phone calls and angst-fest '87, '88, '89...

And congratulations, too. Not only is she taking a huge leap of faith and going back to school in the fall... she's going to law school... and she's going to Harvard. She has a dream and she's living it and I admire the hell out of her for it.

I just wanted her to know.
